Samoset Resort Golf & Sail Packages

Mid-coast, MAINE—The Maine Windjammer Association has partnered with the Samoset Resort in Rockport to offer a golf & sail package sure to please “duffers” and “pros” alike.  The Samoset Golf & Sail Package offers guests an opportunity to combine two favorite pastimes in one vacation: a few days of cruising on an historic windjammer with some shore-time to enjoy the links.

This package includes one-night accommodations at the Resort, a round of golf for two on the Samoset’s widely acclaimed 18-hole PGA championship golf course, use of the practice range, golf cart and club rentals. Starting at $130 per person, based on double occupancy, the package upgrade can be added to any windjammer cruise, which range from $400-$1,150, depending on the length of the cruise.

The Samoset Resort has the distinction of being one of New England’s premier golf resorts. Conveniently located at the head of Rockland Harbor, the Samoset’s fairways overlook beautiful Penobscot Bay; golfers perfect their swings amid spectacular views of windjammers, lobster boats, lighthouses and far-off islands.

The Maine Windjammer Association includes 13 historic ships that offer three- to six-day sailing adventures off the coast of Maine from May to October. Guests can participate in all aspects of sailing the vessel, or sit back and enjoy the ever-changing scenery. At the end of the day, the windjammers drop anchor and guests have the chance to go ashore and explore. One night features a traditional lobster dinner.
