Pick a Package: Savings Add Up

with Windjammer Add-Ons

Mid-coast, MAINE—The beauty of a windjammer cruise can be found not only in Maine's spectacular seascapes, but also in the convenience and affordability of a package that includes all meals, activities and accommodations for approximately $160 per person per day.

For guests who'd like to add a few extra days to their sailing vacation to explore the area, visit Acadia National Park or even play a round of golf, the Maine Windjammer Association has partnered with local inns, airlines and park services to offer Maine's best attractions at discounted prices. Add-on packages for the 2011 sailing season include:

Sail & Parks Package—
Enjoy a bird's-eye view of Penobscot Bay and beyond with the Sail and Parks Package that includes free passes to all of the high-altitude parks that surround Maine's windjammer sailing grounds. Before or after your cruise, spend some time exploring Acadia National Park, Camden Hills State Park or the new 420-foot Observatory at Fort Knox where you can gaze out to sea and enjoy spectacular views of the islands, lighthouses and windjammers of mid-coast Maine. Free, while supplies last.

Air & Sea Package—
Get a jump on your vacation with a non-stop flight from Boston to Rockland! Cape Air offers five flights a day, so you can enjoy your windjammer cruise entirely car-free. Package covers round-trip airfare including taxes and ground transportation to your windjammer dock. Add $150 per person to any windjammer cruise.

Rockland Land & Sea Package—
Enjoy the best of both worlds--land and sea--with a windjammer cruise and a stay at an historic inn in Rockland, where you can enjoy the culture of a seaside town that's famous for its museums, galleries and fine dining. Package includes 2-night accommodations with gourmet breakfast, along with expert concierge services and discounted tickets to most of the Rockland's main attractions. Add-on package starts at $270/couple, based on double occupancy.

Camden Inn & Cruise Package—
Explore the natural beauty of Camden with a 2-night stay at one of a ten premier Inns either before or after your windjammer cruise. Package includes accommodations, breakfast and amenities, gourmet picnic lunch and 2-day pass to the Camden Hills State Park. Miles of well-groomed trails offer excellent hiking as well as spectacular views of Camden Harbor, Penobscot Bay and the islands beyond. Enjoy a "Specialty of Maine" backpack lunch featuring lobster rolls and lots of local goodies. Add $399/couple to any windjammer cruise.

Samoset Golf & Sail Package—
Combine your love of windjamming with a round of golf while you're in Maine. Add a 1-night stay at the Samoset Resort, one of New England's premier golf resorts, located at the head of Rockland Harbor. Includes accommodations in Gardenview room, round of golf on 18-hole PGA Championship course, use of practice range, cart and club rentals. Add-on package starts at $259/couple, based on double occupancy.

Departing from Camden, Rockport and Rockland, windjammer cruises range from $400-$1,100 per person for a 3- to 6-day cruise. Guests are invited to participate in all shipboard activities, from taking a turn at the wheel to raising and lowering sails. All 13 windjammers have a well-earned reputation for outstanding sailing adventures and delicious down-home cooking. One night everyone goes ashore for a traditional lobster bake.
