BANANA BREAD
from the Angelique

1 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 eggs
2 teaspoons water
6 ripe bananas
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1⁄2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Mix sugar and butter. Add eggs and mix well. Mash bananas in a separate bowl and add water and vanilla. Combine flour and baking soda. Add alternately with banana mixture to sugar, butter and eggs. Stir in chopped nuts, if desired.

Bake in a greased bread pan (8 1⁄2” x 4 1⁄4”) at 350 degrees for 1 hour
