Mystic Whaler Cruises Recommends the Maine Windjammer Association
A word from Captain John and Pat Eginton
We hope this finds all well with you. Capt. Pat and I are doing very well as we adjust to life without Mystic Whaler, although we’re missing all the wonderful folks we used to sail with regularly.
As many of you know, my tall ship career began on the Maine coast where I spent six years in the Maine Windjammer fleet. I have been missing the beautiful Maine coast ever since. The Maine coast offers an incomparable beauty that simply cannot be discovered by car. The Maine Windjammers provide the most relaxing and rewarding way to experience what most sailors agree is “God’s Country” for sailing. Maine’s Windjammers provide a very personal and accommodating hospitality that we sought to emulate aboard Mystic Whaler over three decades.
With Mystic Whaler now safely berthed in her new home in California, we encourage you to take your windjammer experience to the next level and consider booking a cruise with the Maine Windjammer Association. Their fleet of nine tall ships sail from Penobscot Bay and explore the magnificent waters of Midcoast and Downeast Maine. We also encourage you to sign up for their monthly newsletter; it’s a great read!
Pat and I have many items on our “Things to do in Retirement” list, but we just crossed off one of them: we have booked a cruise on SailMaineCoast.com. We’ll be sailing in late June and we’ll keep our eyes out for you!
Capts. John & Pat
First, we want to say thank you to Captains John and Pat for recommending the Maine Windjammer Association vessels to meet your sailing needs. We look forward to welcoming them aboard in June, and hope to see many of you over the course of the season as well.
